Iconic Blue Bridge / Lions & Rabbits | Evan & Willa's Wedding

I remember the first time we sat down with Willa and Evan, we met at a local coffee shop to go over wedding packages and to see if we would be the lucky ones to photograph their wedding. They were so sweet, unique and knew exactly what they wanted yet laid back and ready to take on planning their big day. Half a year later Willa invited me capture intimate wedding morning moments and talked as if we had known each other for many years not just a few months of quick meet ups to work out details.

This has to be one of my absolute favorite things about photographing a wedding; how we get to become friends of the bride and groom! We get to celebrate one of their biggest days as a couple from start to finish. From hair and make-up, story sharing and zoo adventures to the big I DO we get to see and capture it all! When we were in the planning process with Willa she mentioned that their beloved dog Frank would be a big part of the wedding, she described his look and personality and I knew instantly that we were going to love this pup. I love that they found a way to keep Frank a part of the big day!

Evan and Willa were married on the Iconic Blue Bridge in Grand Rapids, Michigan! They had a vintage VW Bus waiting for them to take them over to their reception center 'Lions and Rabbits.' For any one in West Michigan looking for a unique wedding venue you HAVE to check this place out! This beautiful venue is the perfect spot for small-medium sized weddings and houses beautiful artwork from local artists!

Every wedding is so unique, one of the best things a couple can do while planning their wedding is to stay true to what they want and let outside opinions stay where they belong. If you have a fur baby that needs to be at the wedding don't let anyone tell you otherwise! Have your heart set on a non traditional wedding gown, go for it! This is your big day! Stay true to yourself!

What made or will make your wedding unique!?
