A Romantic and Rainy Wedding Day in Traverse City, MI // Abby & Jon

We headed to Traverse City Labor Day weekend to capture Abby and Jon's wedding day! Phi and I always love wedding days but this one held a special place in our hearts because these two have been close friends for some time. We had so much fun running in the rain and celebrating their wonderful love!

Abby and Jon love the great outdoors! They chose Twin Lakes Park for there ceremony and reception because of the beautiful pavilion for the ceremony, trails, dormitory for guests and open spaces for their big white tent! It was a beautiful day full of love and laughter. Abby and Jon fully embraced the rain and enjoyed every part of their wedding day.

Abby and Jon's Reception was held in a huge white tent at Twin Lakes Park in Traverse City, Michigan. They kicked off the reception with toasts from the best man, Maid of Honor and Fathers followed by an amazing Taco dinner, delicious desserts and dancing!

We didn't get that typical golden hour glow but we still took a few minutes away from the reception to capture a few last portraits of the beautiful bride and groom. Wedding days fly by, this is one of my favorite parts of the day because stepping away from the party is always nice so the newlyweds can reflect on their wedding day until that point.
