Alexis and Josh were married on the most beautiful autumn afternoon at the Saint George Orthodox Christian Church. When we arrived at the church you could feel the excitement in the air as Alexis and her bridesmaids wrapped up getting ready. Alexis shared precious moments with her father and grandmother before moving into a "first touch" with Josh. As they read their vows to each other you could see all the emotions of the day unfolding.
This traditional ceremony was beautiful and filled with joyous moments. The church was filled with friends and family all there to witness the love and union between this beautiful couple. We appreciated the depth of the traditions like the crowning ceremony, exchanging of rings and ceremonial walk during this symbolic hour.
After the ceremony the wedding party journeyed downtown Grand Rapids, stopping at different locations to snap a few photos before heading to the Goei Center to kick of the reception.
As guests grabbed their last drink of cocktail hour and made their way into the Goei Center the wedding party prepared to kick the evening off with energetic entrances. Everyone was on their feet as Alexis and Josh made their way into their reception as newlyweds! Heartwarming toasts were shared just after dinner by many loved ones. Each speaker offering different testiments to their wonderful relationship. As the evening went on family and friends joined Alexis and Josh out on the dancefloor!
