We met Sam and Oryan while capturing a wedding last year, when they asked us to document their wedding we were beyond excited! They are such kind hearted, beautiful people and just an absolute joy to be around.
Samantha and Oryan were married at New Vintage Place in Grand Rapids, Michigan. We started the morning off in the beautiful upstairs bridal suite where the bride was getting ready alongside her bridesmaids. Once everyone was hair and make up ready, dressed and feeling good we headed outside for gorgeous portraits with the girls. While I was busy capturing the girls Phi was hanging out with Oryan and the groomsmen as they got ready; capturing lots of laughter with his friends and sweet moments with his parents.
Samantha finishing up with make up, then embracing her mother before heading out to the courtyard for a few fun photos with the girls.
Samantha shard a first look with her father in the courtyard at the New Vintage Place. We loved capturing this sweet moment.
The ceremony was held in The Vintage Hall at New Vintage Place. We loved this space for the huge windows, exposed brick walls and how were able to capture Samantha and her dad coming up the stairs for her grand entrance. The room and aisle were full of greenery and candles giving the room an overall romantic feel. We loved witnessing these two tie the knot!
Samantha and Oryan decided on a traditional 'first look;' And let me tell you, Oryan's reaction to seeing his beautiful bride did not disappoint.
Oryan and Samantha exchanging vows and rings, then placed the pieces to the unity cross before sharing their first kiss as husband and wife!
A quick side note here; Oryan proposed on the blue bridge while friends and family hid underneath and later came out to celebrate as she said yes! They returned to have their engagement photos done here and they chose to visit once more for a few wedding portraits <3
The Reception was held mainly in the Great Hall at New Vintage Place! They utilized the Lounge and Vintage Hall throughout the evening as well for more space for the guests to celebrate in.
We loved this entire building for the exposed brick, walls of windows; allowing for lots of natural light and for all the additional rooms guests were able to relax and celebrate in. Samantha and Oryan had corn hole and games setup upstairs, drinks and lounge chairs in the lounge and dancing later in the evening in the Great Hall! Such a great venue for large weddings!
Right after their entrance we went right into the traditional cake cutting! The wedding cake was made by a loving neighbor, a very special meaningful gesture for the bride and groom.
The toasts made me both laugh and brought me to tears. I love hearing such wonderful stories of our couples and seeing more of their personalities through their friends and families eyes. You can see how much love the bridal party has for this couple and how much love surrounded them throughout their entire wedding.
After Oryan and Samantha shared their first dance, each shared a dance with a parent then Samantha invited her mother out on the dance floor for a special mother bride dance.
Samantha and Oryan took part in one last wedding event, Samantha tossed the bouquet and Oryan thew the football!
CONGRATULATIONS Samantha and Oryan!!!
Phi and I couldn't be happier for you two! Thank you so much for trusting us with your wedding photos. We wish you so much love and happiness in the many years to come!
