We had pretty unusual weather the last weekend of June, LOTS of rain! We had planned on a beach session in Grand Haven but when we looked at the weather report on Friday afternoon we quickly realized we were going to have cancel or get creative. So with the help of our wonderful couple we replanned the session to be Downtown Grand Rapids. Kelsey had the idea to start at The Downtown Market and mapped out all the stops she wanted to make throughout city. We LOVE how this session turned out. Phi and I had such a great time getting to know Kelsey and Derek and it's so cool when we can include scenery that holds sentimental value and represents our couple's personalities well.

We thought we were going to be shooting in the rain for this portion of the session, however, Mother Nature gave us a break we made it through all our stops without a single drop of rain <3
